- Cooking Texmati Organic White Rice: 1 Cup uncooked rice; 1-3/4 Cups water; 1/2 Teaspoon salt (optional); 1 Teaspoon butter (optional). 1. Combine all ingredients in a 3 qt. saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil, stir once. 3. Cover with a tight fitting lid or foil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) 5-10 minutes longer.
